Good morning to all.
I thought I would get this thread up bright and early so I could concentrate on work until the trial begins. I believe it starts at 9:00 a.m. today.
The State is presenting its important rebuttal case, which will include two Gentiva representatives, one of which will likely be a custodian of records. That person would need to authenticate Cindy's time sheets, which were subpoenaed. The State plans to admit that evidence to impeach her testimony that it was she, and not Casey, who did the computer searches on chloroform. The chloroform searches go directly to premeditation, a critical element in a death penalty case.
I understand that closing arguments will be heard Saturday (tomorrow) and then the jury will "get deliberated." (I love saying that!)
Time to put on a big pot of coffee...
Good catch. You have a sharp eye!
Mummies were buried in dry dark places. The body loses its water, which is were decomposition takes place. The child's body was in a swamp, IIRC.
I thought Baez looked like a cockroach that just checked into the roach motel. LOL
“”I have never understood why she didnt just make her defense that Caylee and she were going for a swim. The phone rang and she went to get it it, came out and Caylee was dead in the pool. She panicked and knew she would get blamed and made the rest up.””
I truly believe this is what happened and it’s been my theory from the beginning. I think she went back to the house when she knew her parents weren’t there, went in the pool with Caylee and just DIDN’T WATCH HER. Her priorities lay elsewhere as we all know. What doesn’t fit is wouldn’t she have had sense enough to put the life jacket on Caylee?
If a child spent as much time in that pool (every day) as her grandmother said she did, there’s no excuse on anyone’s part for not teaching her how to swim. Our daughter learned to swim at 18 months old in a pool that was in the ground and she could have gotten to the side but in an above ground pool it would have been a lot more difficult...and we certainly didn’t take our eyes off her..
She loved the water, hated the lessons but swam like a fish and lived her growing up years at a pool or at the beach.
There’s so much we can’t follow and can’t understand and one thing that mystified me came up this week in Cindy’s appearance AGAIN on the stand. I’m sure I heard her say that “they weren’t with us much in 2008.” If Caylee and Casey weren’t with them for the first six months of the year, where were they?
After the prosecution rebuttal today, I am not so sure anymore. Did you watch this afternoon?
The computer search data sure looks like she meant to get rid of this child.
I could agree with you except for the search for chloroform - it just seems too unlikely that she would search for that, then the child would accidently drown, and high levels of chloroform would result. I can’t get passed that.
Have you heard that Judge Perry has given very strict instructions about how and what can be addressed in closing Statements. Since the Defense has not even addressed the supposed P8n8s in the mouth BS. Or the Accident BS. Etc etc. He wants to make it abundantly clear to BAEZ there will NOT be a repeat of the disgusting OS.
I did get a measure of satisfaction today watching the evil bitch come to the realization that JUDGEMENT DAY has arrived. NO more lies, no more destruction of other peoples lies. And for the first time in her godforsaken life she is going to be held accountable. I fully expect the DA to go after that lying cindy. She lied about the pool ladder, she lied about the computer searches. ALL in a Capital Case. NG is saying 15 years, hee’s hoping.
No drowning. Cindy LIED about the ladder TOO.
“”Never doubted this young woman killed her daughter. (nice, fair juror Id make!)””
I’ve told my husband I hope he never gets on a jury. He has a different opinion every time he watches it. Of course, he doesn’t pay attention - just in and out of the room but whatever he hears makes sense to him - no matter the side he hears.
I hope the trial watchers are correct that today’s session put the icing on the cake and the jury will throw out the chaff and remember key points!!!
Don’t know if I want to be irritated tomorrow night and see Geraldo’s take on it....probably I’d be smart to forget it.
It’s POSSIBLE that she did see that cartoon from her friend on facebook- wondered WTH is chloroform, went to search for it- realized it can be used to induce deep sleep...thought this might be a way to keep Caylee”out” while she partied...then looked up “how to make...” then made it and accidently overdosed her child resulting in her death and the rest of it is a result of panic and magical thinking.
I haven’t yet decided she intentionally murdered her- as in I want her dead and I’ll do it -kind of intent..
“”No drowning. Cindy LIED about the ladder TOO.””
I love this thread...
I’ve wondered just how she knows the exact date that she came home from work, found the gate open and the ladder up at the pool. She didn’t suspect anything until a month later when everything hit the fan so what proof did she have that the day Caylee was last seen was the day the ladder was up...wrote it in a diary perhaps - went to work the next day and told everyone someone had gotten into their yard and everyone remembered the date?
Let’s hope the jury sees through all this.....
I agree, Casey overdosed that little girl and she died. The pool was always a lie.
Intent? Searches-—3 months later——— Caylee DEAD.
Hard to not say premeditation. Do you think Caylee wouldn’t tell JoJO (George) about Mommy making me sleep by smelling bad stuff. Oh yeah, she intended for Caylee to disappear.
I really agree with you. Only thing that bothers me in a bad way is the search for “neck breaking”.
That really troubles me.
There should be a mental health warning on horealdo’s show.
Caution: The opinions on this show may cause foaming at the mouth anger and or severe headaches.
Yep and just think GEORGE was going to be the fall guy.
George had an accident drowning , holding Caylee in his arms.
Covered it up with some meter reader. George molested Casey.
George George.
George should run not walk away from that assylum as fast as he can after this is over.
“”Maybe different states have different titles but Im pretty sure that in law books this case will be known as The State of Florida v Casey Marie Anthony, or Florida v Anthony for short.””
That would be accurate as it is always the State of—
VS— unless it’s a federal case..
I had googled OC District Attorney when this first came up and didn’t find what I was looking for either. It just has to be different states refer to it differently. Who could ever forget the LA County Deputy DA’s in OJ’s case? Heck - one of them even appears on TV for this case as a commentator! Don’t think I’d show my face after the job she did on that one.
I think we all know now Cindy’s obsession with that diary of hers was to keep her lies straight. Didn’t work.
One thing. I sure hope that if George gets free from that place, he goes someplace better than a River Cruz. LOL
