As a paid caller for Outreach Calling, Inc I was raising funds for National Vietname Veterans Foundation this morning. They provide assistance to homeless veterans in the form of food banks, care kits and phone cards to vets suffering in V.A. hospitals.
A lot of vets I spoke to said they don't get a dime from anybody (nobody helps 'em): and I can just go jump in a lake.
In any case, since my animated thingy isn't animating, here's a consolation prize:
I did speak to one of the guys associated with Rolling Thunder. He's all up on the Westboro Baptist protestors. He chuckled 'bout that when I mentioned they reving the engines en masse to drown those morons out. I also mentioned FreeRepublic.
See, we were promoting gold, silver and bronze badge level support at $50, $35, and $25. He was giving me a hard time. That's when I mentioned there's also the Pink Specialty ribbon support level. He almost choked barking at me to sign him up for the Silver Badge support pledge.
I think he said he was II Corp.
