The next degree change in the temperature should come along within the hour over here....maybe three to six degrees....but that's because the sun has set and the skies are clear. That's the natural diurnal cycle affecting temperature of course, it could have been cloudy and the land and sea would stay warm and the chances for rain this holiday weekend would increase which in turn would put a damper on 4th of July barbecues. The result would be less travel in cars to visit friends, the beach or the volcano for a little get together and added to the shutdown of industry for the holiday would reduce the output of CO2 into the atmosphere......but it would still remain warm.
Hmmm.....let me leave out visits by folks to the volcano......the volcanic emissions haven't stopped since 1983, rain or shine, whether anyone visits there or not.
