Greenspan Commission of 1962 I have Justin Martin's book on Greenspan, "The Man Behind Money," and Greesnpan didn't have much to do with government or politics until he was about 47 years old - when Nixon became president in 1969.

He chaired that committee... wiki has some things on it as well. Also search on “History of the Debt Ceiling”. I am not blaming it all on alan... not even a large part of it... but he was there and he was chair and he had a part in it... and 1962 was when it all started downhill. 1917 was when the ceiling was voted into law. He also had some findings on Social Security in that commission. Happy 4th to you and yours!
