A crying baby is not a brat, but a helpless being experiencing misery through no fault of his own. Many plane trips with infants could be avoided, and for those that are necessary (such as family moves across the ocean ;-), exclusion from first class is reasonable. The family of an unhappy baby is going to have a ghastly flight no matter where they sit, so they might as well get the cheap seats.

I agree. Flying bothers their ears and it is a miserable experience for the little ones all around.

I *still* hear the story about how my parents took me on a plane from Florida to Virginia to meet my grandparents when I was three months old and I pretty much fussed and hollered the whole way. I'm sure I made that flight hell for a lot of people. (In economy class, BTW. ;-))

But I've been paid back for that in full. LOL
