Crow hunting is fascinating. Quite a bird.

Yes it is. Back in 60s I used to do a lot crow hunting at the tree line of farmer's cornfield. We always used the owl decoy along with a few crow decoys in the trees. After you master the right call the crows would become so reckless and obsessed with the owl that they ignored our gunshots and just kept trying to swoop down toward the owl to intimidate it. Thanks for the link. Brought back some great memories.

I didn't believe my son the Cabela's field tester. He mounted a speaker on the roof of the pick-up and turned on the distress call tape [in the middle of suburbia]. From seemingly out of no where, flocks of crows came and circled...talking back to the tape. It was spell binding. He is frequently called upon by farmers to take-care-of these nuisance birds.

Best he did was 87, not quite a 834 crow day.
