Bring back the old HP pen plotters that actually selected pens from a rack then drew with them on paper. I think inkjets will prove more practical.
They don't have those anymore? We ordered one at a lab where I used to work. They were great. For the first couple of months after it arrived, I spent more time playing with it than using it to do any actual work (because the data weren't in yet and I just couldn't resist!).
