BTW, aside from the private message, I need some "terms" ~ I know what a baseline is, and I know what a Meridian is, but there's a special name for those fundamental markers all over the place.
I've lost it somewhere in my vast memory and can't find it. The US Coast and Geodetic Survey digs 'em up and lays 'em down every now and then.
