One might say that scene was more the way Connery would’ve done it. No more Mr. Nice Guy there for Rog. Too bad they couldn’t have had him do it this way instead for all those prior silly ‘70s entries.

But it took several Bond movies for Roger to live down his nice guy image gained as “The Saint”....:^)
