I once wrote a Greasemonkey script to add an "Ignore" button on FR threads. Worked quite well.

However, the one user I wrote it for has stopped posting so much on FR, so I haven't used it in quite a while.

Not even sure where it is, though I could probably track it down.

Great idea. I could use that for a certain poster who posts about the parentage of Republican presidential candidates in just about every thread mentioning a Republican presidential candidate.
