Maybe some of our fellow Freepers down in Texas can tell us about this guy?
I believe he's going to run. And if he runs.. what kind of chance does he have?
He seems even slicker and more polished than Romney.
And what's up with Perry attending the Bilderberg meeting????????????
RINO
I keep hearing he’s for this one world globalist thing
James Richard “Rick” Perry (born March 4, 1950) is the 47th and current Governor of Texas, having held the office since December 2000. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Elected Lieutenant Governor of Texas in 1998, he assumed office as governor in December 2000 when Governor George W. Bush resigned to become President of the United States. Perry was elected to full terms in 2002, 2006 and 2010, an unprecedented feat in Texas political history. With a tenure in office to date of 10 years, 183 days, Perry is the longest serving current U.S. governor, having succeeded North Dakota Governor John Hoeven who resigned on December 7, 2010 after being elected to the US Senate.
Not likely ...RINO from day one.
google around about trans texas corridor. We finally defeated it (it was Perry’s baby).
Also, the gardsil fiasco. He wanted to vaccinate Texas middle schoolers (12 y old and up) for sexually transmitted diseases.
And he flew a “honorary brick” in to dedicate a new mosque here in texas.....
I could go on, and on. We have had him a long time, and he came in DEAD LAST in the straw poll recently of presidential likely candidates. THAT should tell you something.
Palin supported him for governor.
Tea Party supported him.
“Perry called his supporters patriots.” Later, answering news reporters’ questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that. Perry Apr 15, 2009
Must be a RINO!
RINO. All talk and no walk.
Pro life conservative. No state income tax. Good enough for me. A lot of people on FR don’t know why they dislike him. Just jump on the band wagon.
Probably better than Gov. Romney, but that’s not saying much. Jeb Bush with a Texas accent, pretty much.
The resident Paultard spam monkey attention trolls trash him repeatedly, so he’s gotta be doing something right.
bttt
Maybe if he didn’t come from Texas and strut around and speak a little like GWB.
And I really liked Bush, but I don’t think he can win a third term.
He does seem like he could be GWB’s twin!
But does he have a chance?
I don’t understand all the RINO talk. Results speak for themselves and Perry has TX running very nicely. I would have loved to have a “RINO” like him running PA instead of Rendell. He may not be the strongest Conservative out there, but he is far better than the Romney/Huntsman/Gingrich group of profound documented Progressives losers the GOP is pushing right now.
Perry seems like the most Liberal of the Conservative pack that I would consider voting for. I just think that Bush has poisoned the TX Gov for Pres well along with everything else he was involved with. Bush is still a pariah.
Bilderberg, well, I guess it means he’s our next president???
