I agree, this is really bad timing on her part. But, I would imagine that she has her Mom’s blessing.

The Strib has been running hard with this story on their web site all day. In an effort to stir things up, is my guess.

I think that [since her situation had been made public anyway] she thinks she might be able to help other young girls/women by talking about her own experiences. I know that is the reason she gave for giving speeches to young ladies through the Candies Foundation. From what I have read, she has helped a lot of girls and given them inspiration.

Why not? People might be interested in her story...if not, no one will buy it. If there is interest, she will make a boatload of money. Capitalism - love it!

Levi johnson is writing a book due out in the Fall. This is the Palins way fo getting her story out first. It also act as a way for Gov Palin’s supporters to deflect and defend the GOv when the left tries to use bristol against Gov Palin.

Like the others my first reaction too was she was just cashing in. I had forgotten Levi has his own book coming out very soon. This book is more a preemptive strike. Depending on what is in Levi’s book it may be necessary. We’ll see.

It’s the new reality show that’s cashing in.
