The notice says “The medical checkups and research of the residents in the areas affected by the nuke plant accident are allowed only if the permission to do so is given by the related scientific societies and associations; otherwise it would only increase the burden on the residents.”

I bet they try to hamstring the free clinic, too! Claim it’s putting a ‘burden’ on the residents?
Prayers for the people of Japan as they contend with radioactive waste, TEPCO and the Japanese government.
How screwed up is that? Talk about your catch 22.
I don’t understand the Japanese—never did; never will.
I just don’t think they have the same respect for human life that many Americans have.
