What they don't understand is that this IS NOT suicide. If it were suicide they wouldn't need laws to get other people involved.
It's just a bizarre euphemism to avoid calling it homicide. If you go to a doctor for some ailment and the doctor gives you a prescription which you take exactly as directed is the doctor treating you or are you treating yourself with the doctor merely "assisting"?
