Yes, my Cavs are the best dogs ever.
However there was a story about 2 that chewed their elderly owner’s toes off last winter. IIRC,it was thought that he had gangrene in them and the dogs did him a “favor”.

I would never leave ANY dog unattended with a child or an elderly person, not even my Sweeties.

Oddly enough, they probably did.

If my dogs find anything odd on me, say a callous or a mostly healed cut, they’ll keep nibbling at it until it’s gone...*or* I tell them to knock it off...:))

They’re very hyper-aware of their owner’s physical and emotional health.

That’s why they serve as therapy, service and disease detection animals.

Their highly developed senses “know where we hurt”.

Ask anybody with a diabetes or seizure alert dog.

Life savers, literally.

Should have been most likely did him a favor. Still it was horrific and shows that no dog should be left unattended with children or the elderly, who are unable to care for themselves.

Common sense.
