Insert a race of any choice in that lease exclusion list instead of “pit bull”.

Because a few do terrible things, let’s hate them all.

[and -people- know right from wrong and good from evil...dogs do not]

"??? Confused, why does posting dog stories earn a zot. Weird."

You'd have to know the history of Chet99/Jim726.

Suffice it to say he spammed the forum with those stories in a most obsessive/compulsive trolling manner to feed what we may only suppose was some weird paraphilia.

Oddly enough, they probably did.

If my dogs find anything odd on me, say a callous or a mostly healed cut, they’ll keep nibbling at it until it’s gone...*or* I tell them to knock it off...:))

They’re very hyper-aware of their owner’s physical and emotional health.

That’s why they serve as therapy, service and disease detection animals.

Their highly developed senses “know where we hurt”.

Ask anybody with a diabetes or seizure alert dog.

Life savers, literally.

Should have been most likely did him a favor. Still it was horrific and shows that no dog should be left unattended with children or the elderly, who are unable to care for themselves.

Common sense.

I had a Doberman. She was gentle as a lamb with my kids but if someone was walking down the street and they came to the door, she would sit there and shake, clicking her teeth. She never bit anyone, was obedience trained and loved all kids. BUT would I trust her to never attack someone she didn’t know? Probably not. One time my daughter was sitting on her back watching tv. She was about 2 years old and she started tapping her in the face with both hands. The Dobie swung her head around and nipped her in the face. Nothing bad, but a scratch that was there for about a week.
She was teasing her. I cannot blame the dog and I made it crustal clear that she was NEVER to tease her like that.

Another thing she did that unnerved me a lot was if she was lying on the bed sometimes if you stared at her she would snarl. That was why we put her in obedience training. After the training, which she took to like a charm, these incidents ceased and she lived a long, healthy life with our family.

I do not think Dobermans are in the same class as Pits. At least Dobermans are gorgeous dogs. Pit Bulls, sorry, ugly.

She’d get along great with Miss Hissy Slashy, the demonic dog-cat.

Technically, the poor guy shouldn’t have been left alone, *period*.

He was obviously in a state which precluded him from maintaining awareness of his own body.

Why we do we treat the elderly like “inconveniences”?

I know! I laugh hysterically every time I watch it, even though I feel sooooo sorry for the poor pup and want to smack the owner.

Absolutely!!! There is a leash law and all dogs on that beach are supposed to be on leashes or in pens. I walk my dogs there on LEASHES. How dare those Pit owners come there with no leash. I see a Pit or several Pits and they come running toward us and our dogs. No thanks. Obey the effing law!!!! Damn right I call them and they come and cite them. It’s in a small city and the laws are clear. For some reason the Pit Bull owners always think they don’t apply to them. Same goes for some Rottie owners. The rest for the most part obey the law. Also one of these unleashed dogs already knocked down and 80 year old woman and killed her Yorkie in a bout 2 minutes, yet there he is, unleashed at the beach. I can assure you if that Yorkie had been my dog he would not be alive to walk that beach. Take that to the bank.
