BTW, dogs don't have opposable thumbs, IR tracking gear, or good long-distance comms. This ought to be easy if we apply our full, God mandated 'steward of the world' authority and responsibility.

Years ago, I read in a hunting magazine about how feral dogs had become a problem in rural Georgia. It has a nice, mild climate pretty much year round and a lot of small game for food. The pack got started when a lot of people abandoned their domestic dogs during the depression.

These were not your friendly little fidos. A number of hunters had been mauled and some had died when they tried to take them out. Dogs are social animals which hunt in packs. You can shoot a few of them, but the rest of the pack will keep coming when they believe they have a fighting chance.

Hunters were advised to hunt in groups to protect each other. Plus get a lot of target practice on tires rolling down hills. This in not something I would approach lightly.
