Vitter-- 1. Confessed to his wife years before the scandal became public, without being confronted by anyone over the incident 2. Asked for his wife's forgiveness 3. Stopped the behavior years before it became public knowledge 4. Never tried to blame anyone else, or smear anyone else to cover his tracks 5. Has never been accused of attempting to seduce girls less than half his age
Weiner-- 1. Slandered an innocent citizen (Breitbart) in an effort to cover his tracks 2. Preyed on young girls who did not initiate the lude behavior 3. Lied about his lured activities to media, his family, his friends, and his staff 4. Only confessed to his wife after he found it no longer possible to lie with any hope of being believed
Please add your own thoughts to this. Hopefully some 'talking head' or Fox on-air news-reader will stumble across this thread and become a bit more enlightened about the differences between the Weiner scandal and the Vitter scandal, so guys like Lanny Davis will have a harder time lying to uninformed Fox viewers.

“Slandered an innocent citizen....”
The most obnoxious and dangerous of all.
It’s like making a blanket accusation of the “rich”,
“big oil”, “big pharma”, etcetera, ad nauseum in order to gain access to all that wonderful, never-ending tax money that’s available just for the taking.
IMHO

This a childish tick in the liberal mind. Anytime you are caught in an intellectually tenuous position defending someone, grasp out for an analogous situation and mischarachterize it. I have to say it's like brain junk food and most people buy it, the old..well he did it to. We as conservatives have to stop trying to covert the nonconvertible, they need to be ignored, shamed and defunded. I am sick of arguing with idiots as Glenn Beck's book likes to say. Some people are reprobate and cannot be saved, they love their hate, envy and ignorance, it makes up the patina of their lives, fixated on the wealth, success and happiness of others and trying to squelch it.

It's like arguing with a potted plant. No point.
Look, the Dems do have some merit that those who campaign openly on a family values/faith platform should be held to a higher standard.

As smarmy as infidelity is, Weiner's in a different class.
The pervert class.

Please add your own thoughts to this.Okay...
So, I think we should offer these talking heads a little data to help them understand the difference.
Have you ever seen somebody digging a ditch, who you know is getting paid to dig it, and offered to step in and dig it for them for free?

Weiner is nothing more than an internet flasher who sent unwanted pics of his genitals to woman who didn’t ask to see such things. Some of these women were minors.
The fact that the Democrats liberals are out there defending Weiner and his crimes is just plain creepy.

I'm OK with bringing up old sex scandals to defend Weiner.
What are the differences between Weiner and Bill Clinton?
1. Weiner didn't commit perjury and lose his law license.
2. Weiner didn't use police officers to acquire his girls.
3. Weiner didn't forcibly rape anyone.
4. Weiner didn't threaten unruly girlfriends with death and disfigurement.
5. Weiner didn't commit sodomy with a cigar.
6. Weiner was condemned by his fellow Democrats.
Anything else?

You call it a Vitter “incident,” “scandal,” and “case,” but don’t say what exactly Vitter did. Of course, Vitter himself never confessed publicly to what his “sin” was. A more apt comparison of politicians would be Vitter and Eliot Spitzer, since both broke the law by patronizing prostitutes. Except Spitzer resigned and Vitter didn’t.
