In the Mike Lester cartoon, Sarah Palin is depicted telling a reporter that the young Washington-cherry tree thing never really happened. As usual, she is right. Parson Weems put the story in his book Life of Washington in 1800, to illustrate the late President's veracity.

Yes. Lester's a conservative cartoonist. It's his parody on the Paul Revere thing where the head-exploding media thinks she's wrong again. Unfortunately, all the lib cartoonists are still making fun of her for the Revere comments since they don't (want to) know that she was correct...
