Andrew Johnson was probably Americas worst President, but I am not so sure about Andrew Jackson being terrible. He was a small Federal Gov't guy.

BTW, who cares what Beck thinks? He likes Ron Paul for crying out loud.

I would put several other Presidents below Andrew Johnson. He was the wrong man for the times, far too stubborn, and lacked vision, but had some good qualities as a person. Even Prof. Gordon-Reed, who has a recent biography of him, admits that, and she has no reason to go easy on him because she is black.

Back in the 1940s there was a movie about Andrew Johnson's impeachment which had him as the good guy and the Radical Republicans as the bad guys. The racial issues were pretty much ignored, I think. One of the channels that runs a lot of old movies ran it during the Clinton impeachment.

Andrew Jackson forced many Indians to give up their lands and move west. Thousands of people died on these marches, men women, children. the reservations he set up their were even worse. thousands, in some cases 50%, of people on the reservations, died the first winter.
so yeah, he was a bad man.
