Man with dead weasel accused of assault

HOQUIAM, Wash. – Police say a man was carrying a dead weasel when he burst into an apartment and assaulted a man in Washington state.

The victim asked, "Why are you carrying a weasel?" Police said the attacker answered, "It's not a weasel, it's a marten," then punched him in the nose and fled.

Fall doesn’t start in August around here ;-).

Pat has been dropped off for Webelos camp. Took forever to check them in, temperature in the 100s with occasional rain ... ugh. But now I’m home in the air conditioning with *only* five children, until around noon Saturday.

In a way, I envy you the beauty of Fall in the Rockies. But I don’t do well in snow. I grew up with mountains all around me, and I miss them...

Pat’s card came today. (Or yesterday...) and as usual, I read it at the post orifice.

Tell him when you see him that I will want to know all about his camping trip. In the meantime, I’ll send him something he can read to the family.

And if anyone else wants to write, I’m here. (The more, the merrier!) And because I understand sibling rivalry, no one needs to worry that I will pass on any info to another family member. (What comes to ‘Face stays with ‘Face!)

Glad it arrived! I’m encouraging James to write notes, but he hasn’t really given it a try yet.

Pat’s going to be extremely hot at camp this weekend, but they have a big pool, cold showers, and a lake to fall in.

Most likely, all you would need to do is suggest that I live alone and notes from anyone would be an awesome break in my day.

Actually, notes from any of your offspring will be appreciated. Who knows? Maybe some day, they will come to visit.

I'm afraid I don't remember what state you live in, but it's not much cooler here above the 45th parallel than it is down south.

A friend in Dallas-Fort Worth told me they would be 5f cooler than us today.
