HOQUIAM, Wash. Police say a man was carrying a dead weasel when he burst into an apartment and assaulted a man in Washington state.
The victim asked, "Why are you carrying a weasel?" Police said the attacker answered, "It's not a weasel, it's a marten," then punched him in the nose and fled.

I’m OK. Some days, I don’t feel good, some days I don’t feel bad, and other days, I’m great. But you probably know how that feels!

"I had to move a wood pile last night. 7' sections of log up to 16" in diameter." I assume you have acquired or fabricated a peavey by now.
One wonders how effective a tool can be if it has a device called a cant hook attached to it.
Anyway, ash makes good firewood. Eponymous, you see.
Also, those logs, sectioned to fireplace length, are easier to move. Do you have a decent wood shed?
I went back to work today. According to my philosophy, it is appropriate that I be paid to perform therapy.

Work isn’t bad, in itelf, but “going to work” always seems negative.

No need for a peavey, just picked 'em up and moved 'em where I wanted 'em. 2 of 'em were too big to pick up so I just picked one end up and let it flop over in the direction I needed it to go. Repeat as necessary...
No wood shed. Probably not a bad idea considering the proclivities of my offspring to declinate towards naughtiness.
Back to work? You have either my compliments or my condolences depending on the work in question...

That’s an impressive knowledge base!
I haven’t soaked my feet yet, but you gave me some wonderful suggestions. I’m going to try oregano first!
I’m having my hair cut tomorrow. Short.

"No wood shed. Probably not a bad idea considering the proclivities of my offspring to declinate towards naughtiness.
Back to work? You have either my compliments or my condolences depending on the work in question..." Such wood could be converted, with little effort, into charcoal if you have no uses for wood heat itself. I would suggest looking into the efficacy of outdoor wood furnaces. Even if it might not seem appropriate for your purposes, people in your area could use your intuitive understanding of the processes, and you could possibly make a buck or two once in a while.

The work is not difficult or challenging. It offers a sort of social contact and mild physical activity. The remuneration is not much of a consideration.
It offers what Dr. Sheldon Cooper describes as an opportunity to perform mindless drudgery while my mind can be employed in loftier pursuits.
I really ought to get some business cards made up expressing that concept.

I’ll have my hair cut tomorrow as well...providing the mail gods are kind. But I think it will be much shorter than yours! LOL!
And I’m off to bed. Take care, y’all!

We went down to Montpelier today by a circuitous route and saw a lot of giant rolls of hay. Fun was had by all.
If you still have time I can go to timbuctu on friday or saturday evening.

A circuitous route was how the giant rolls of hay got there.
"I can go to timbuctu on friday or saturday evening."
Saturday seems a good choice. Friday we'll be seeing Harry Potter. Let me see what we can work out.

I am annoyed with teh USPS, still!
Tom and Bill need haircuts before camp. I don’t think Bill will be able to take his hairdryer or his straightening-iron. And it’s half-price day at The Salvation Army.

"And its half-price day at The Salvation Army." Half-off savings are not worth much when you're talking about Salvation, young lady. (/stern lecture mode)

Ah, too true.
I picked three green beans. May not seem like much, but it’s a victory over the catz. And I found an evil green tomato worm on “Mr. Stripey” and removed it. The darned plant finally has a flower on it - last thing I want is those awful worms.
