HOQUIAM, Wash. – Police say a man was carrying a dead weasel when he burst into an apartment and assaulted a man in Washington state.

The victim asked, "Why are you carrying a weasel?" Police said the attacker answered, "It's not a weasel, it's a marten," then punched him in the nose and fled.

When Kate was on Parliament hill for Canada Day, she turned to Laureen Harper and said (paraphrasing) “Oh my God! I can't believe it's so hot!”

The Daily Mail said her makeup was melting. I did notice her hair sagged a bit in the humidity.

I’m so sorry that I wasn’t here to greet you when you first arrived. A friend’s mother came out from Boston for a month and I was volunteered to care for her (84, frail, on oxygen, afraid of falling...) for the duration.

However, now that I’m home, I plan to make up for lost time.

If you decide to check out the Lower Levels, please take a guide with you. Maps are useless as the walls have a tendency to um...shift. Kinda.

Of course, you can always ask someone “What’s down there?” but the answer will vary with the answerer. ;o]

Hiya, Kiddies!

Realizing I picked a really bad time to come back to the land of Zombies, I would like to apologize. But I won’t, just to be ornery.

We saw the Dowager off last night, and she was a nervous wreck. She was shaking so bad she looked as if she had hidden an industrial-sized vibrator somewhere.

By the time we said our good-byes at Security, Left-handed Shawn had her gently in his care and promised us she would be well taken care of.

I spent most of the morning and some of the afternoon cleaning her room and environs, and doing laundry and by the time I was done, my right leg was killing me. (That’s the one I injured four years ago when I moved in here.)

Of course, my little place looks like a walk-in closet compared to what I left, so I’m dealing...by not dealing with it!

Anyway, I’ve come home. Don’t know how long I’ll be here as I’ve been invited to go do girl things with my younger sister.

Still, I’m HER-R-R-RE!
