Who’s Guarding Your Weinergate?

SSo far this week has been all about that sad clown, Rep. Anthony Weiner. Or more specifically, about his habit of sending young women half-naked self-portraits using his TweetDeck account. Then lying about being hacked, reversing himself in the most humiliating way, and begging forgiveness from a disgusted American public.

We don’t blame him for crying.

The lifelong work he put into his political career just got the industrial airport super flush. The question on everyone’s mind: How could anyone be so stupid? Was he blinded by the glare off his waxed chest? What this seemingly boils down to is an egomaniac, who may have thought he was techno savvy, making a stupid mistake with Twitter’s Direct Message (DM) feature—essentially turning a private message public through a typing error.

For national politicians as careless as Weiner, all it takes is a healthy disregard for the power of Social Media, and the foolish belief that only your staff needs to worry about Internet technology, and your goose is cooked. Maybe “Weiner” will become a new slang term for bone-headed social media move by a politician. As in, “yeah, his career was going places until he pulled a Weiner.”

I'd rather have a New York bagel than a New York Wiener.

this from Wiki:

“The Huma bird is said to have both the male and female natures in one body...”

Is it possible there is more than one weiner to this story?

It is such an epic exhibition of abysmal judgement to send those photos to women he did not even know and therefore had no reason to trust. I would not send such pics to somebody I knew and trusted because people and relationships can change and because they could always fall into the hands of some third party. The arrogance, poor judgement and lack of self-control exhibited by Weiner is monumental.

He’s a leftest, liberal, Democrat.

You expect him to use sound judgement in anything.

Life support system for a scrotum.

What the Weiner fiasco says to me in part is that liberals/socialists are NOT nearly as smart as Democratic Underground claims they are; and Governor Palin is NOT nearly as stupid as Democratic Underground claims she is. - For them, up is down, down is up. Hope some of them figure it out soon and quit excusing their icons while demonizing conservative people.

Tony Weiner has many years in Congress ~ his record of constituent services is rivaled by few. He was earlier Chucky Schumer's top administrative assistant and his worked provided much of the support Chucky needed to win election after election ~ in the same district Tony represented.

The problem these guys have is when they engage in extracurricular activities of a tawdry nature all that constituent service stuff goes for naught.

His constituents know already that Tony's days of greatness are behind him and in the future he simply will not have those key connections that make so many seemingly impossible problems with the government just go away.

Tony is a Dead Congressman Walking ~ as far as his district is concerned. The sooner he's out of there the better.

the money quote: and the foolish belief that only your staff needs to worry about Internet technology,

Looks like he was thinking with his staff.
