9.0 earthquakes are not unusual in the history of the earth. There’s evidence along the Washington-Oregon coast of several such earthquakes in the past 1,000 years. In the Ring of Fire such a thing is not unexpected in the least and anyone who does not think this can happen in that region is in for a potential surprise.

of individual unusual, rare occurrances can be

rationalized

away.

A growing pile of them . . .

not so easily done—if integrity and honesty is involved in the assessment.
