An 18 year old and an older female is private territory.
People need to police their own lives.
Let the state do it and they take away all privacy and freedom.

So an 18 year old girl on a school field trip would be "cool" to have sex with her male teacher? Are you frickin' kidding me? That's pretty much what happened here with the sex roles reversed. A teacher should never have sex with a student at any age. A person in power having sex with a subordinate is the basis for sexual harassment laws - and it should be stronger with student-teacher sex. In this case, I'm glad it's a felony. Maybe it will act as dis-incentive for this kind of behavior by people who can't seem to "police their own lives".
The polarity of the sex roles should be entirely irrelevant.
