If Social Services have to take children away for reasons such as beating a child, starving one etc... perhaps it may be wise to bring law enforcement with you. I thought this was done usually by protocol?
Holder’s ‘people’.
“After the attack, police say Atkins grabbed the children and fled the home in an unknown direction. She is considered to be dangerous.”
Dangerous to a government employee, apparently. They have not established (in this article) that she is a danger to her children.
While this may have been an overreaction or evidence that DFC was right, it could just as easily be exactly the right response.
5 Children, that’s a pretty big paycheck they are trying to take away from that woman.
Five babies under the age of five and no mention of daddy. How sad.
A friend of mine is a social worker in a similar job here in Los Angeles County. He hates his job. Overworked, and underpaid. It is thankless, sometimes dangerous, and painful work.
This is directly from the story.
Well WTF does she expect. If some plainclothed so-called government employee with what may or may not be a valid ID tried to push their way into my home and couldn't produce a valid warrant to enter the premise, I probably would deliver a royal a$$kicking myself.
She turned herself in.
The so called “Child Protective Services” people can be the most vile, cruel individuals imaginable. In many cases, the entire system is cynical and demonic.
If you’ve never done so, read this story. It’s very long, but eye opening, and I don’t think it’s an isolated account.

My wife, who has spent over a decade helping single moms, often has told me of incidents where the child welfare agents have threatened clients with taking all children away if the mom would not follow their “recommendation” for this or that minor matter. Consequently, I now know that not all cases of “abuse” are abuse of a child by a parent but are in fact attempts at tyrannous abuse of government upon a relatively helpless and financially dependent poor family.
