$5999 seems expensive for the large 92 inch set, BUT when I bought my Mitsubishi 55 inch rear projection Diamond edition set on Labor Day, 2000 I paid $3,999. The 73 inch model at the time was on sale for $6,199 down from the original retail price of $9,999.
The biggest expense of the new 92 inch set is building a LARGER room to put it in or having to buy a bigger house;-)
