I have been out of politics (sadly). Can anyone tell me who the GOP has that can make a legitimate run at President. From the list of names that I have seen, it doesn't look too promising (Romney, Palin, Bachman). I like Palin and Bachman but I'm not too sure if the country would vote for either of them.

Bachmann shouldn’t be counted out...after all she did raise 28 children! She has been at the very core of grassroots activism and knows how to put together a network of people....that’s why she has been successful at winning her elections. I wouldn’t mind giving an outsider like Herman Cain a shot at it...the Beltway always clamors for an establishment candidate...a professional politican, but I think the country would vote for someone outside of that group in a heartbeat. I still hold out the belief that there’s a shining star waiting to be discovered, but at any rate...we need someone that is schooled very well on issues, has the ability to understand in-depth, someone that’s highly adept at debate, and can speak frankly and eloquently while lacking any real stigma or baggage that would hinder them in an election.

...at the rate Obama is going, it would be hard to find someone who CAN’T beat him in 2012.
even the British press is pounding him now. and the economy is heading toward another major crash, and thanks to Obama, Israel will probably be attacked before the end of this year.
if the economy is bad enough, even the people on Food stamps etc will vote against Obama, for fear that there won’t be anything left after he gets done destroying things.
So, now is the time, to elect the candidate we WANT, a true conservative, instead of someone like McCain that we “need” because he will attract the “independents”.
The 2012 election will be a referendum on Obama; the specific GOP candidate will affect the popular vote by 2% to 3% at most, but most votes will either be to retain Obama or to kick him out. Given that fact (which you can debate, but I will accept it as fact for this discussion), the real question is who do we want restoring America once we toss the anti-American communist out of our White House. My top choices are Palin, DeMint, Bachmann, or Cain, not necessarily in that order. From that point, it comes down to popular enthusiasm, ability, and campaign charisma. Based on those criteria and others of relevance, which of the four I named (or which candidate of your choosing) do you prefer?
Any candidate who steps forward to take on a sitting POTUS has the courage and self-confidence required to lead the US.
i.e. Herman Cain.
Those who have opted out (for 2012) are, in fact, saying ‘this is too much of a challenge’. If they believe 2016 will be a cake-walk - they are idiots!!

Just seeing Palin, Bachmann, and Cain all on the same GOP debate stage will be a dream come true.
Palin is probably not running but would have zero shot in the general election, or very close to it. Independent voters hire and fire US presidents, and 60% of them will never vote for her under any circumstances. People around here don’t like to hear that, but I’m not willing to take a long shot bet on her with another 4 years of Emperor Hussein hanging over us like the Sword of Damocles.

Fox sponsored the 1st debate, Herman Cain won overwhelmingly, Frank Luntz said that in all his years doing this, he had NEVER seen such a reaction from a focus group.
If you haven’t seen it, it’s easy to find on you tube.
You would think that it would be all over Fox, but I guess they are part of the blackout, too, so we can’t even depend on them.
But we are in God’s hands, and soon, there will so many Herman Cain clips on Youtube, that people can’t help but stumble upon them.
Those of us who have supported him for years will have a nice selection of great clips to show people, and say, this is the guy I was telling you about.
This election will NOT be like anything we have had before.
We, the people, are going to take our country back.
Think of the focus group’s reaction on a national scale, and I think we’re talking a Reagan size landslide.

I felt the same way after 8 years of Clinton. Looking back, Bush did nothing to UNDO the damage of Clinton, like hold his regime accountable for their may evils. There is way too much at stake here to be satisfied with just throwing out Obozo. A true anti-establishment reformer MUST be elected.
