What can a man and a woman with a 25-year age difference possibly have in common?
He’s older, yes, but he still looks damned good. He’s always come off as a nice, unassuming guy. I think the trouble was that she’s a spoiled, dysfunctional, exhibitionist supermodel with the emotional/maturity level of an 8 year-old. He didn’t like the spotlight, she craved it. She pouted, cried, got hysterical and tantrumed the reluctant Chris into marriage (after a few months of living together), so she got what she wanted.
It’s sad but not unexpected. I’m just amazed he hung in there for 5 years!
I’m surprised they made it this long....
Watching her Ustream videos it seemed like she was miserable.
You wonder why they even bothered.
They met on a reality series 6 or 7 years ago, The Surreal Life. Adrianne chased him relentlessly until he finally agreed to out with her. He was very reluctant because of the age difference, but she whined and nagged and, hey, she IS physically beautiful but wow - an emotional trainwreck. I think she was mostly enamored with the idea of bagging Peter Brady and, in fact, they subsequently did a reality show called My Fair Brady, about their cohabitation and her pestering him for marriage the entire time. The finale episode, after he’d rented her an apartment of her own, saying she needed some independence, featured her crying, verging on hysterical, which wore him down and resulted in a ring and proposal (against his better judgment).
There’s nothing more cowardly on the face of the earth than a talk-show host starting a flame war.
Why they bothered to get married is beyond me? If you ever saw them interact anyone would’ve known there was no way it would work.Should’ve marked it up to lust and enjoyed a year (or less) together....

Do realize that when you’re 70 and she’s 45, she’s going to want to hang out with her friends, go on vacstions with them etc. and not want to be at home taking care of an old geriatric guy. Then she’s going to get nasty and mean and make whatever’s left of your standard life miserable. She’ll blame you every day of robbing her of her youth and of her life.
Bogie and Bacall were from a different era and generation. It was a thing of the past — a thing of beauty.
