Indy belongs on Monday. It always was, a part of Memorial Day tradition--go to the parade and memorial service, come home, fire up the grill, and listen to the 500 on the radio. No it wasn't televised. That's just the way it was in America when America was great.

There was no NASCAR, but every kid in the country knew the Heroes of the Brickyard.

Four women drivers in the race. All started close to or at the rear of the bus. As it should be.

With the Monday situation a permanent fixture they can plan on trying the race Sunday and if it rains (or tornadoes) move to Monday.

This time of year weather is chancy in that part of the world.
