Is this a fore taste of things to come? More than likely.
Nothing for nothing is not the RAT way! There is some sort of pay for play deal going down. Watch for the payoff!
Yes, the Democrats will do this on a very large scale in 2012. The left is banking that ignorant conservative voters who are not paying much attention and are sympathetic to the Tea Party will just vote for anyone with the label Tea Party after the candidates name. Sadly, quite a few will.
NY26 was even worse though. In NY 26 the orginal Tea Party backed candidate, Bellavia, actually endorsed Jack Davis when he didn’t get the Republican nomination to run for this seat. It was obviously sour grapes, but the fact that the preferred Tea Party candidate did something like this shows that the NY Tea Party continues to be an awful judge of character and candidates (remember that clown Paladino). Additionally, at least one actual Tea Party organizer and some of his supporters backed Davis.
Most real Tea Party groups backed Corwin, but there were enough renegades (including their original preferred candidate Bellavia) who went off the reservation in an obvious attempt to sabotage this election and throw it to the Democrat. Apparently for some NY Tea Partiers, if they can’t get their way they will actively work to undermine the Republicans.
3rd party candidates never win any elections, unless you are in Vermont (they love socialists there).
After learning that Barry Soetoro will actively pursue gun control in a second term, I am SURE that _something_ will happen to throw the vote in his favor. I am now sure he will make a power grab, and the party will back him on it.
What’s the punishment for such treason ?
Email sent to New York Tea Party:
Congratulations on your pitiful loss of the New York 26th district.
Clumsily run; clumsily lost.
Allowing Jack Davis to sell himself as a Tea Party candidate without exposing him as a liar leads one to assume that either the Tea Party leaders are incredibly stupid or they wanted Kathy Hochul to win.
Allowing the Democrats to sell the outrageous lie that the Republicans Medicare reform plan is tantamount to an end of Medicare without exposing them as the liars they are was either incredibly stupid or you actually wanted Kathy Hochul to win.
Wise up or continue to ensure Obama’s reelection.
So the Republicans in the state legislature could and should introduce legislation to prevent the use of the name "Tea Party" for identification of candidates on future ballots. It may not pass, but it would give this kind of fraud the public attention it needs, and it may give second thoughts to any clowns in the future looking to use this ruse again.
