Regarding Graphic EQ - MY OPINION
By adding reverb and bass or treble, equalizers
can help a singer... to a point. Madonna and
Annette Funicello (for example) were aided dramatically
by EQ because both have weak voices, poor tone
and limited range. Much of what we heard in their
performances were FX. Karaoke makes a voice sound
more pleasant using the same FX.
However... speech can’t be manipulated as easily
in a live setting. Palin can EQ the bass and
add reverb, but the instrument (her voice) will
dominate.

I noticed the change a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what happened, but there are old videos of her out there on youtube that I had seen during the election [from her former TV days], and I remember thinking she had a more pleasant voice quality back then.
So I actually think she’s sounding a bit more like her old self. Maybe she had just developed some bad habits and has corrected that. Or it could be she’s been dealing with a hearing problem, hence the nasal tone.
Thanks JN, very informative. I was listening to Hannity last night who played a small portion of her movie that’s in production. There’s a very short snippet of her voice, and I wondered, at the time, if it was before coaching since it sounded like the “old” Sarah, but I could be wrong, as I said it was a very small sample.
