Humans are all failed. That’s just a fact. Part of the struggle is to strive to be better people and hopefully help other folks to be better too. You know, the God and Jesus thing. I guess it’s been this way since the beginning of time.

To me the struggle is what makes life interesting. If everyone and everything were perfect then it would be a very boring existence.

He will. Some of us anyway. The bible is almost 1/3 prophesy. It talks of this. Also, if you google “crash course” you will see the inevitability of us getting much farther than we are.

My little boy woke up soon after being put down for bed last night. I went to check on him and tuck him back in. When I opened the door, he immediately stopped crying and said, "Hi, Daddy." I asked him if he wanted me to fix his spot in bed for him and cover him up. He said, "No. Can I go downstairs and sit wif you? Just for a widdle while?" I acquiesced, but told him he would have to close his eyes and go to sleep. I sat and watched him close his eyes, but when he thought I wasn't watching, he would peek out and watch whatever was on TV. I sat and stared at complete innocence mixed with a little sneaky mischief. He smiled when I caught him peeking. He turned over and snuggled up in the crook of my arm. He laid there a while, comforted, and then said, "I'm weady to go upstairs."

I understand your pessimism. Yes, mankind can be cruel, uncaring and harsh. But I think I'll give the God that created that little feller of mine the benefit of the doubt that He knows what He is doing; and my little man a little more time.
