Sounds like our best chance at this point is to work on something that can reach speeds of 1/8 lightspeed or even 1/16.
Better decades than hundreds of centuries to alpha C and even then it would have to be robotic.
I like the idea of a Stargate, however, I would prefer that advance race had the Stargate built already. Good idea, but I want my molecules intact...
