The Right Scoop reports:
Mitch Daniels is not running for president due to family considerations. This below was forwarded to me in an email.
From: Eric Holcomb (Indiana Republican Party Chairman) The following is from Governor Mitch Daniels . I hope this reaches you before the public news does. If so, please respect my confidence for the short time until I can make it known to all.
The counsel and encouragement I received from important citizens like you caused me to think very deeply about becoming a national candidate. In the end, I was able to resolve every competing consideration but one, but that, the interests and wishes of my family, is the most important consideration of all. If I have disappointed you, I will always be sorry. If you feel that this was a non-courageous or unpatriotic decision, I understand and will not attempt to persuade you otherwise. I only hope that you will accept my sincerity in the judgment I reached.
Many thanks for your help and input during this period of reflection. Please stay in touch if you see ways in which an obscure Midwestern governor might make a constructive contribution to the rebuilding of our economy and our Republic.
FOX NEWS breaking headline, now. And an AP Twitter Breaking NEws item, as well.
If conservative voters split their vote, the winner might be Mitt.
G-d smacked him upside his head. Guess he took the hint. YESSSSS!!!
(wasn’t that her daughter?)
Daniels was being set up for the Big Takedown by the lamestream media Journo-listers, and even Daniels had to be smart emough to realize it.
Something happened in the last couple of days, though, and it was probably his 16-stitch knock on the head that knocked some sense in to him.
Yes, good for conservatives, the more acceptable Pawlenty is available.
Meanwhile, Cain is the man.
Everybody who has common sense knows that if Sarah Palin is going to run for President, she needs a base home in the lower 48......Alaska is too far to travel back and forth, renting is a waste of money and Phoenix AZ as a major airport hub has direct flights to AK, plus to the other major cites across the country
No, Daniels is a fine man and good governor.
His wife has limits and he didnt go beyond them is all.
We should respect that.
This kind of stuff may be collateral damage from the media treatment of Palin’s family. How many wives and kids want to be under a microscope?
I hope this is true, clearing the decks for Gov. Pawlenty!
I fear if people will really rally around Pawlenty or fall asleep....
If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
Or you can get raw with these strings. Either way, the violin is sweet yet lethal.
Do it!
HIM too?!
Pawlenty? Yuck. You might as well support Romne or Huntsman. “T-Paw” is a big government RINO.
Western Whitehouse.
Though even the article starts phrasing it as a question.
Certainly it is far easier to “commute” to Phoenix from DC, than to/from Anchorage...
Not sure this isn’t an indication she (is) thinking of running.
"Can't we all just, just get along."
no yitbos
Expect MSM to really be all over Cain now. Its Cain vs Pawlenty!”
I agree, BUT Palin is a wild card that will change that.
I concluded that Sarah getting in would re-animate Romney’s chances and make it Palin v Romney celeb-and-money match. I hope I’m wrong. Romney’s got 0 enthusiasm but is raking in all the money.
Personally, I like Pawlenty v Cain, and/or a Cain/Pawlenty combo.
I find pawlenty will be solid, but ... my tagline sez all.
Cain is da man.
excellent observation. and if mitt wins the nomination, he will draw a third party challenger. and then we will lose for sure.
She hasn’t announced she’s running, so reality dictates she’s not running at the moment. I prefer to live in Realityville rather than some preconceived fantasyland.
