I have the 38 LCR and it’s my main carry. I’m more accurate with my 1911 EMP, but the LCR is so light it’s easy to carry in any coat pocket. The recoil stings, so I’m not even tempted to get a 357 version.
In February my wife took her ccw training and bought her first gun, a Ruger LCR. I had suggested an S&W Featherweight but she liked the feel of the LCR. We took it to a live fire class and she did great with it. I liked it so much I had her buy one for me as a birthday gift. Her LCR cost $429; she got mine for $399 as she had a $30 dollar off coupon. Have the LCR as a carry gun and kept my .357 S&W 640 as a nightstand weapon (although I would probably go for the Mossberg first.)
