One of the very few movies that will draw me out to a theater.
I watched the old circa 1960’s Batman movie yesterday and some of the performances, especially Burgess Meridith as Mr. P.N. Guin, were fantastic. Lee Merriweather was SMOKIN’ HOT as Cat Woman/Miss Kitka. Some of the highlights of the show are way too under-appreciated. The scenes where Alfred is driving the batmobile with his hokey disguise and magnified “crazy eyes” had me in stitches.
I think they’ve modernized the story better than anything I’ve ever seen. By far.
“Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane”
I’m not familiar with the villain Bane, but boy howdy am I gassed to see Tom Hardy on the big screen again. Been a fan of his since he played Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis.
Number Two was often referred to here and elsewhere as the Bush Batman in that Bush was doing the unappreciated and unpopular jobs in the War on Terror instead of the wishy washy approach that would leave him less slammed.
