Ron Paul's VP?

Pretend, if you will, that somehow Ron Paul has won the Republican nomination for President. Who on earth would he choose as his running mate? He's such a lone ranger and so out-there with a lot of his views that I can't think of a compatible VP candidate. What say you?

Howard Stern, who can run on the strength of his experience from his 1994 NY gubernatorial campaign.

Since John Murtha is dead, another person of Ron Paul’s knee jerk military hating ilk would be Medea Benjamin.

Most any Democrat will agree with most of his views. Take your pick.

seriously, Jesse Ventura. He is the only wacko libertarian type to have major experience in politics over the years. Ron Paul, I can deal with to a degree. Ventura is a political bully who browbeats anybody that doesn't agree with him. He also puts aside any right of center view and side with leftists 99% of the time.

Maybe someone else who understands the constitution?

I got a new kindle this weekend and downloaded the constitution onto it asap.

It’s amazing how very far we have strayed. And it so painful to see so many on this board say they are constitutional conservatives and yet agree with our foreign policy over the last two or three decades

I do not claim to be a scholar or expert here. I know that when I did read it I was amazed. I urge you to read our founding documents and ask yourself if the established Republican or Democrat party can claim they are following its precepts.

Ron Paul offers a clearly different and I will say more lawful view of American politics especially relating to its foreign policy. Too many of us have been duped by the false choice of socialism or neo-colonialism offered by our current parties.

now BTTT:

I think a sensible military man would greatly balance his ticket and help him begin a return citizen centered government while securing our immediate safety.

Allan West comes to mind.

What about other cabinet positions?

AG - Mark Levine (drool)
ED (until it is abolished) - Gov.Christie J/k
HUD - abolished of course
HHS - Dr. James levy and make it focused on the elimination and constraint of communicable diseases and uniting the countries research institutions to common goals.
Def - benjamin Netenyahu
Tre - the ghost of Ludwig von Mises

Can’t think of anyone for the other posts

Ron Paul knows as much about the Constitution as Cindy Sheehan.

Just because someone talks as if they were an expert doesn't mean they know a blasted thing.

Roger Rabbit.

He’d have a chance of making Paul look sane.

Ron Paul is never, ever going to win the Republican nomination. The only reason he runs as a Republican is because he knows he couldn't get any airtime as a Libertarian. He is simply using the Republican brand to get on TV and spew his libertarian gibberish. Paul is largely worthless to the Republican party because once he loses the nomination in spectacular fashion, his collection of pot heads, peaceniks, truthers and college kids probably won't vote for the eventual Republican nominee anyway.

Even most Paul haters on the freep would agree that he knows quite a bit about the constitution. It’s his interpretation of it that is contreversial.
