Bristol Palin isn't the only one living fast these days. Sarah and Todd Palin's second oldest daughter, Willow Palin, 16, was ticketed in Alaska for driving nearly 20 miles per hour over the speed limit in the family's black Cadillac Escalade SUV. According to a TMZ review of documents filed in Alaska, Willow was said to be driving 84 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone.

According to the website, she was issued a 'minor offence' citation for $162 and let go 'without further incident'.

We know she was driving 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. You've never done that?

I lived there 20 years and still have close friends there who I visit yearly. I have a pretty good handle on what I am talking about.

You never answered the question.

Have you ever drive ~84 mph in a 65 mph zone??

In my state that would mean a suspension of your license for a driver that young.

Wonder if it was my son-in-law who gave her that ticket? Our other son-in-law is a cop in a Denver suburb and he got to be Sarah's Personal Body Guard a couple of weeks ago.

Wonder why a ticket for a teenager is such a big deal? Maybe in the UK it is, but then my time spent over there made me realize that they drive like a bunch of maniacs. NEVER get sucked into the middle of a round about...you could be there for hours trying to work your way out.

The Palin’s should be flattered. With the “wedding of the century” just occurring they decide to make the Palin’s more news then the new royal couple. Palin Power spreading around the world.

WHINE!!! I did that when I was about her age. How come I didn’t get in the newspaper?

Because you didn't have the celebrity gossip rag TMZ doing an almost daily search on your public records.

True. There's no way that a 16 year old newbie driver can safely operate a vehicle as big as an Escalade at those speeds. I say that as someone in his 40s who looks back at doing similar things in my teenage years (I had a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which is in about the same size/weight class as an Escalade), shudders and is thankful for having made it to adulthood alive.

However, there is one other factor to consider ... that while high speed itself is an issue an even more important one is speed differential. Driving I-81 in VA at the posted speed limit (which is 70 except in places like Harrisonburg and Lexington) is pretty much insane when everyone else on the road - including the 18-wheelers - is doing 15-25pm above that. Last time I drove the route I was keeping up with traffic but noticed I was making exceptionally good time. Then I looked at the speedometer and realized we (me, and the rest of the traffic I was with) were doing just a hair under 100. Figured that was a good recipe for flaming vehicular death, so got off at the next exit to grab a bite, fill up the gas tank and wait a bit in the hopes that another traffic grouping was going a more "reasonable" (relative term) rate.

You gotta be kidding me. I guess by those standards Michelle Bachman should resign and stay home with her five kids and two dozen foster kids. Get real.

No, I'm not kidding. Moms with young kids should consider them to be their priority in life (raising them if they can). Like Mary did with Jesus. And I was under the impression that Bachmann's kids were older. No?

Bachman (whom I happen to like) never worked in her life prior to politics, I doubt that. Sarah Palin is no different than millions of other women with children.

If you lived on Staten Island in the NYC area, it would have gotten into the The Staten Island Advance and on their website no matter what.
