I recall a time years ago when I finally had heard the term "Watergate" too many times without understanding the reference.

I started hunting for articles to explain what was going on. I typically found such articles buried in the back pages of my local newspaper. Initially it was just vague suspicions due to the obviously political purpose of the attempted wiretapping by the burglars.

It was many months before there were sufficient details to tie the crime and the subsequent coverup to persons associated with Nixon. Nixon even won re-election without any broad-based understanding of his involvement in the conspiracy.

But eventually a great deal of the truth came out. Five dozen high-ranking individuals, most of them lawyers, were convicted of felonies and Nixon himself resigned in disgrace, forced to release tapes documenting his own involvement from the beginning of the obstruction of justice.

The latest document released by Obama suggests that government officials in Hawaii may be involved in an effort to provide forged documents for Obama's benefit. Their behavior has been inconsistent and illogical. If what I am suggesting has occurred, I believe that it will come out.

Could you please provide your explanation for the unusual characteristics of the recently released document? Or do you remain uninterested, just like those who had no interest in why several Cuban refugees would burglarize the offices of a highly placed Democrat?

I can't comment on the technical side, because I don't have any relevant expertise in computer document forensics. I have worked as an analyst, and in general, misdirection that's done correctly is very difficult to detect. Misdirection that's detectable easily is a lure. (The best misdirection appears hard to detect, but is still likely to be discovered. This plays to you opponent's ego, without arousing his suspicion he's being played.)

Rather than flatter ourselves by assuming that Obama's men are stupid and incompetent, I'd be more inclined to be wary. Obvious bait should be treated as such.

Or do you remain uninterested, just like those who had no interest in why several Cuban refugees would burglarize the offices of a highly placed Democrat?

The interesting comparison is the lack of a Deep Throat to give context to the Birth Certificate. Especially when there are Democrats who would materially benefit from leaking this information to Republicans. Or Republicans that would benefit from finding it themselves.

Not only has no one come forward, but no one has 'caught' Obama doing anything wrong. There's no G. Gordon Liddy in custody, apprehended while doing O's dirty work. No smoking gun. There's no evidence at all that any crime happened. Just empty suspicions.

So, check this out. I have an app on my phone. Looks like piano keys. Makes cat noises. Any time I want to mess with my dog, I play some cat noises, and the dog comes running. Alert. Looking for the cat. He heard a cat noise. Must be a cat in here somewhere, right? He'll search high and low, because he knows in his heart that a cat must be in this room somewhere.

It's fun. Entertains guests, entertains me, and the dog is none the wiser that we're just playing with him.

Obama's running the same game.
