The government in it’s many forms and agencies is not your friend. They are not among us to protect us, protect our assets, or our rights. With minor exception, their constant presence is to collect from our public treasury each week, and to lobby for the continuation of such.

NOLA police actions post Katrina come to mind.
They STILL have not return guns they confiscated from the HOMES of law-abiding citizens. I also recall reading of THEIR daily harrassment of the home-owners in the Garden District who chose to stay behind to protect their neighborhood and who were self-sufficient with generators and plenty of food, not asking the police or government for ANYTHING.
I know there are PLENTY of good cops in this country, but there are also some scoundrels on EVERY police force.
So, beware.
