Good grief. How utterly offensive. It should have gone back to the teen. This is gross. I hope people protest this crap.

Kudos to the Teen for doing the right thing.

Burn in Hell to the city’s rulers who have decided that everything belong to the city, and they’re going to put that money to “good use,” as the government knows far better how to properly spend money than some stupid subject who’ll probably put some into savings for his (hopefully stellar) future and inject some REAL stimulus for the economy.

Remember, the government knows how to spend your money better than you do.

Reading some other stories on this, and it’s pretty clear they’re in damage control mode now. The story is going viral and the mayor’s office is distancing themselves. There are also reports that some good samaritans are donating money to an account set up by Chase for the girl.

On Tuesday, police said under a new city policy, the unclaimed money will go into Dallas' general fund — not back to the person who found it, as in years past.

Another example of the grasping bastards of government. No doubt they were thinking of the possibility of someone finding a suitcase of drug money and feeling greedy about it.

"We appreciate your honesty," said Dallas police spokesman Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse. "We're going to put the money to good use for the city government of Dallas."

Damn...You know these people in city governments are near broke...Everyone outside government is now a target for money and revenue.

So let’s see, $2,000 dollars, what will Dallas do with that
windfall?? Fill every patrol car with gas for the next
5 min., buy the best equipment for the boys in blue,
or buy doughnuts for them!!! HEY DALLAS!! It’s 2 grand,
give it back to the young lady and her family!!!!!
You guys need more than the money, you need
some brains!!!!
