You go out to dinner and then have to pay someone to bring your dish to you...
That’s bad enough...The wait person spends a total of 3-6 minutes at your table taking your order and delivering your food...
We’re talking bottom of the bucket skills here...
And why does a person expect a percentage of the bill??? Why should I pay a person more to deliver a lobster than a hamburger steak???
You need to understand this... the restaurant lobby has somehow convinced the IRS that they should not have to pay minimum wage to their employees...instead...you should have to make up the difference in the form of tipping.
If you don’t agree with it...support legislation to force restaurants to pay minimum wage to their employees and pay the increased cost per plate.
Don’t take it out on the single mother that will only make 2.13 per hour if you try to teach her a political lesson.
By the way...for those wondering...waiters and delivery people do get the credit card tips as well as the fuel surcharges...everything is not scam...lol.
