You made me curious, so I started looking into it. I guess some Christians believe that God knows everything, and some don’t. One of the arguments for those who don’t insist that God must know everything is a quote from Genesis where God claims to be sorry to have made man (Genesis 6:5-7). It’s a compelling argument. Anyway it is interesting to me, but I’m a conflicted soul :)
The arguments concerning predestination and free will vary widely - and if put together from all centuries past would eclipse the number of words written on FR many times.
Wars have been fought over it.
I have a friend who has a teeshirt. The front says, I chose this shirt, and the back says, This shirt chose me.
It makes those of us who understand the debate laugh every time we see it.

I’ve been wondering lately if God does know everything. If He does, why did he bother to create people, knowing they would rebel? If everything is already settled, what good is praying? Can prayer change God’s mind? If God knows how everything will happen, what is the point? If you already knew the ending to a book, would you still read it? Maybe not a good theological analogy, but I’m just asking.
