No people have short memories, This does not assure anything. Obama really did nothing, all the ground work was done by George Bush. Besides 911 was 10 years ago, the pain of it has been reduced.
Watch Obama numbers in 3 weeks. Gas is still high, unemployment is still high, our debt is still outrageous.
You are a FReeper, like myself, who works in the private sector or law enforcement/military who is most likely male, with a family and is either Christian or Jewish.
I understand that dollars do not fall off of trees unless you have a rich uncle who dies and leaves you a lot of cash; you work in the mailroom of Microsoft or Google and in the 1990s or you hit six numbers on PowerBall.
The American public craves a hero, even an anti-hero to be larger than life, that’s why the Lefty Media could never slam Reagan, he was a folk hero, in some ways.
We see all the bad stuff, the foreclosures, the near 20% real unemployment, the deficit at $14T, the regulations and growing power of unchecked Socialist government, the illegal invasion, the Muslim push across the globe...
We need a hero, this gives “hope” to all the people who were still second guessing their Obama vote in 2008.
The cement is drying.
Not for me. Anytime I see coverage of 911 my anger is rekindled.
This is a good day.
We will see how politics are affected.
But the elections are a long way away.
>people have short memories, <
BINGO!!
Whomever “SWIFT BOATS” the other opponent in the last 3 months of the election will win the election.
Were living in the 24/7 news cycle: people will forget this next year UNLESS the MSM keeps harping about it...and they will do their best.
