I was born in West Philadelphia - no more than 30 miles from Valley Forge. The punishing winter that our Colonial soldiers endured - together with the training they received from Von Steuben - forged an Army that would carry us through great adversity to victory and freedom - Valley Forge has always resonated with me. I have a picture of the winter quarters at VF that I have always kept on my office wall, as well as the picture of GW kneeling in prayer.

This Nation was brought into being through the will of God implemented by men who were willing to go down on their knees in prayer. We need to get back to that now before it's too late.

I agree with all you've said, Conor! I've read and heard what a religious man George Washington was. I have been thinking of getting a good book about him and learn more about him.
