FYI, it’s easy to download and save the “55 pages” of JPG image files found on the Scribd page.

First load the page in Firefox (not in IE).

Then save (Ctrl-S) the complete page after selecting: - “Web Page, complete”.

Then go to the browser cache folder and copy the 55 files that are larger than 100,000 bytes, and that also contain the text-string “JFIF”.

Note: - these 55 files will already be numbered from ‘1-’ to ‘55-’ in the Firefox cache.

For example, in Windows 7, the cache folder is found here: -

C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\********.default\Cache\

Finally, delete the folder of files saved in the subfolder having the same name as the Scribd webpage that you just saved, which can also be deleted — after copying or moving the desired 55 JPG images from the Firefox cache.

When I saw your post my heart soared...

First off...genius move, and thank you for posting this.

lol; Alas, I have XP Pro & trying to follow your instructions, I looked through my C: directory and followed what I thought would be my chain to reach the Cache folder you cited. I found a cache folder containing many files, but no files with JFIF.

My setup looks more complicated that it needs to be (administrator, etc?)

Dreavers: Do you have any other suggestions I might try with Windows XP Pro -— thinking you might have had XP before you upgraded to Windows7

OR:

Is anyone using Windows XP Pro able to locate the appropriate chain to reach the cache of files with dreavers’ method?
