I think that the photographers were trying to help the “cause” by including the John/Furniss photos - more mainstreaming of the lifestyle and all that.
I wonder how many people realize that the Nazi movement was riddled with sodomites or that “intergenerational intimacy” (pedophilia) is widely accepted among sodomites?
The wedding was quite a performance. I hope the marriage turns out as well.
Nazi movement riddled with "alternate lifestyle people" . . I'd read that, probably was. I grew up rather shielded from all that until I got to college. I've never really talked to any man who admitted he was homosexually oriented, know they're out there. I have had conservations with several lesbians. It was easier before I knew this stuff.
There was a female very blonde and fairly attractive cop the camera panned in on with a very butch haircut, her voice was very feminine but authoritative as the occasion demanded. A second or two in, I think, "Is she?" I liked it better when my mind didn't go there. I photographed a race where two women waved at me in such a friendly manner, made a good photo, I allowed a person the university use it (and a several others I had) free in his publication geared to the elderly. So I get my photos downloaded and start scrolling through them, my 40'ish daughter is looking at them. When that photo came up, she said "they're lesbians". I asked why she said that, I never thought that at all. She thinks you can just tell. I'm sorry, I can't, unless the behavior is far more obvious than that.
Yes on a more positive note, I was sorry I didn't get up early enough to see the whole thing but think it would have been quite long for my attention span. Will and Harry are my 11th cousins (barring research errors and such), couldn't help thinking of that today; such different lives you'd hardly find. And most of us in America have famous cousins of one sort or another, pretty far in degree. So there was that.
It was beautiful what I saw, such joy by the wedding party and crowd (the queen is always so darn reserved, guess it's habit, you wonder if she ever has a good laugh or does anything casual or fun). But the bride is such a striking beauty to me. I marvel that England can produce such a beautiful woman and a commoner at that. Her voice is so quiet, I wished she'd spoken just a little louder but think it's the way she is but no shrinking violet. I hope it turns out well, too. Why not? There's enough misery in the world. Was sorry Di couldn't have lived to see it, she'd almost have to have been invited. Probably felt like clawing Camilla's eyes out. Very sad how that went down with Charles and dying so young. She was not a natural blonde but usually so sparkling and pretty.
And Catherine, didn't bleach her pretty brown hair and wore it long. She exudes inner beauty, too. Oh, I wrote too darn much. I just can't help reflecting on the day.
And it didn't rain, lovely day for a wedding.
