Read on the one of the blogs, since the Obummers were not invited, other American high ranking politics would be unable to attend. Don’t know if that is right or not. I thought the bride was exquisite, but couldn’t get excited about her veil...maybe it was some heirloom she had to wear or something, but it seemed to crush down her hair and looked like cheesecloth. I would have liked her to have shown more hair, had a bigger tiara, and an illusion veil...but if you’re beautiful, you’re beautiful in a burlap bag. She is a beautiful girl. Loved the white strapless gown (although she wore a bolero on top...royal protocol I suppose) that she wore Friday evening to the dinner, with her hair down as she usually wears it.
I agree, the veil didn’t quite work, and I wasn’t excited about the tiara. (I know the tiara has history behind it but it didn’t really work with the veil, or the shape of her face.) And yes, she is beautiful, and appears to be reasonably nice as well. If Wills is nice *to* her (as he seems to be — unlike his emotionally stunted father was with his mom) then maybe it will all be okay for the long haul. Hope so. :)
